Improve bus system
Many of you have been so privileged to ride the blue buses and wait at the stops regardless of the weather. I feel it would be convenient to have a completely closed off bus stop to get away from the pouring rain and snow. I will take the necessary steps to make this a possibility. Regarding the bus system itself, I have had personal experience living on central campus and having classes on north campus I have had to walk to CC Little from East Quad everyday. I feel it would be nice and will work to develop a bus route that travels the opposite direction of the south commuter bus that would make mornings much nicer for those who have to do the same, especially in that typical Michigan weather.
Increase interaction between different cultural organizations & improve and maintain a diverse campus
Being a person who loves to learn new things and stay active on campus, I would like to increase the interaction between the different cultural groups that may not otherwise have that interaction. I am aware that as much as we may think we are diverse and understand each other, there are things we can learn from social interaction, and I would like to promote that learning experience. I am also a strong believer in defending diversity and I will work to improve the failing diversity on campus by encouraging the enrollment of minority students and those who develop the sense that they are not welcome in our community. I will do my best to maintain a safe comfortable environment for all of us.
Bringing the art school and MSA together
I would love to bring MSA to the school of art and design. Many students have not heard of MSA and are unaware that the government on central campus includes them. With this position I will improve that situation by taking the ideas and needs of the art student body to our meetings. I will be a voice for the larger body that tends to go unheard and make MSA a well-known name within the art school and communicate with you as students to get your voice heard on a much higher level.
